Data Analytics Lead

Salary: £50000 to £65000

Location: England

About the role

You’ll act as a subject matter expert for the Enterprise Data Warehouse, capturing and analysing business requirements, and designing appropriate data integration architectures and data models to meet them.

Working in two-week agile sprints, you’ll design robust, secure data pipeline architectures to populate our data lake and SQL databases in the cloud.

Leading a small team of data engineers, you’ll also mentor and guide the wider development team to transition to cloud data architectures and design patterns.

You’ll work closely with the Change Management, Solution Design and Data Architecture functions to assess upcoming strategic programmes and ensure reporting/data requirements are being adequately captured.

About You

A natural leader with the ability and desire to coach and mentor a team, you’ll have extensive experience in data warehouse architectures and concepts.

You have a solid understanding of the Microsoft database and BI stack (SQL Server, SSIS, SSAS) along with Azure data integration experience with Azure SQL DW, Azure Data Lake, Azure Data Factory and HD Insight

You’ll not only bring solid SQL and U-SQL knowledge with experience interrogating data from large relational databases/data lakes but also your scripting/programming experience associated with data manipulation & processing (Powershell, Python, C#).

Experienced in cloud-based deployment practices, you’ll also have a solid understanding of software development lifecycle.

Any background with Hadoop and related technologies (Hive, Spark, Azure Data Bricks) would be an advantage but not essential – you’ll get plenty of exposure here.

Please submit a copy of your CV to be considered for this role.
